Editorial Policy
The standards that guide our content creation and maintenance.
PetCare Malaysia maintains strict editorial standards to ensure our content is trustworthy, accurate, and useful for Malaysian pet owners.
Sourcing standards: All provider, cost, and treatment information is sourced from identifiable, reliable references. We classify sources by authority level (A: government/regulator/academic, B: official clinic/association, C: reputable editorial, D: unverified). We do not use D-level sources to establish provider claims or pricing.
Corrections: If you find incorrect information, you can submit a correction through our correction form. All corrections are reviewed by our editorial team before being applied. We do not automatically publish user-submitted corrections.
Content updates: Content is reviewed and updated regularly. Provider identity is reviewed every 6 months; operating hours, 24-hour status, and emergency claims every 90 days; cost data at least annually or when sources change.
Conflict of interest: Our content is created independently of any veterinary clinic, insurance provider, or commercial entity. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage or positive reviews.
Affiliate and commercial relationships: Affiliate and sponsored content, where present, is clearly disclosed. Commercial relationships do not influence provider verification status or cost data presentation.
Veterinary review: We do not falsely claim that all content is veterinarian-reviewed. Where veterinary review has occurred, it is clearly attributed. Treatment information is based on established veterinary practice and published standards.
AI-assisted content policy: Some content may be drafted with AI assistance, but all provider data, cost data, and treatment information is reviewed by our editorial team before publication. We do not publish AI-generated provider or cost data without verification.
Provider inclusion policy: Clinics are included based on publicly available information and verification status. We do not rank clinics as 'best' or 'top' without a transparent methodology and sufficient verified data. Unverified providers are not displayed publicly.
