Claim Process — Step by Step
Pay the vet first
Pet insurance in Malaysia is reimbursement-based. You pay the full bill upfront and claim back.
Collect documentation
Get an itemised receipt and clinical notes from the vet. For surgery, request the diagnosis code and procedure summary. Oyen accepts claims from any registered vet clinic.
Submit your claim
Oyen: submit via their app/portal. MSIG: submit through your agent or the MSIG online portal. CG Cover: submit via their website. All require submission within 30–90 days of treatment.
Claims assessment
The insurer reviews eligibility against your policy terms. Oyen typically decides in 3–7 days; MSIG and CG Cover in 7–14 days.
Receive reimbursement
Approved claims are paid to your bank account. Oyen reimburses 90% of eligible costs; MSIG and CG Cover up to 80%. Payout: 3–7 days (Oyen), 7–14 days (MSIG, CG Cover).
